There has been a sensational twist in the managerial situation at West Ham according to a top journalist at The Sun.
West Ham fans made their feelings perfectly clear to David Sullivan about Julen Lopetegui at Man City.
The Hammers’ hardcore away support turned on the manager for the second time this season.
‘You’re getting sacked in the morning’ angrily rang out from the away end.
Just as it did when West Ham lost 3-1 at Leicester.
Lopetegui survived the sack on that occasion.
Although it has been claimed since that was only so West Ham could buy themselves more time to find a replacement.
Ahead of the game against Wolves, the Hammers reportedly made a breakthrough on that front.
It was widely claimed that Graham Potter – who is close friends with the husband of vice-chair Karren Brady – agreed to take over Wets Ham until the end of the season.
Lopetegui somehow oversaw a four-game unbeaten run, though, keeping him in the job.

Sullivan in sudden change of heart on Lopetegui at West Ham
West Ham were extremely lucky not to lose all four games as they beat Wolves and Saints either side of draws against Bournemouth and Brighton.
Chastening 5-0 and 4-1 defeats to Liverpool and Man City have painted a more realistic picture of where the Hammers are this season.
The latest drubbing was the ninth time the Irons have conceded three goals or more under the Spaniard.
Social media and fan forums have been awash with West Ham supporters calling for Sullivan to wield the axe.
The heat has started to seriously turn up on Sullivan over his continued backing of the manager.
A spokesman for West Ham’s owners responded to Hammers News over the latest sack calls from fans.
“We have to improve,” the spokesman for West Ham’s owners told Hammers News ahead of the FA Cup game against Aston Villa.
It was widely expected Lopetegui would be given the Villa game to save his job.
But now Sullivan has had a sudden change of heart on Lopetegui as a new West Ham manager is lined up claims a journalist.

New Hammers boss lined up as Potter edges closer
The Sun’s Alan Nixon states Sullivan has now seen enough and is ‘frantically’ trying to line up Lopetegui’s replacement.
As a result, Nixon says Lopetegui’s short reign is ‘nearing a sudden end’.
Writing the exclusive on his Patreon, Nixon says West Ham are now actively looking for a new manager.
That’s because the Hammers hierarchy want to know who is coming in before pulling the trigger.
It is claimed Sullivan is being pressured and advised to appoint Potter.
Nixon reiterates that Potter is willing to take the job even if it is only for the rest of the season.
The report also states that other unnamed managers are being pushed to Sullivan by his friends.
But it’s made clear the billionaire will have the final word and ‘will act very soon’.
Hammers will ‘act very soon’ claims journalist
In their continued backing of Lopetegui, West Ham have missed out on Sergio Conceicao – who has made an instant impact at AC Milan.
Other candidates previously being considered were Michael Carrick and Roger Schmidt.
Sporting director Mark Noble is said to be a big advocate for bringing Academy graduate Carrick back to West Ham.
Journalist Graeme Bailey exclusively told Hammers News last week that Sullivan likes the idea of appointing Max Allegri in the summer.
Edin Terzic and Christophe Galtier were also among those West Ham were reportedly considering.
Sullivan has previously made it clear he would not appoint Jose Mourinho.
The news piles the pressure on Lopetegui ahead of the FA Cup clash at Villa.
Lose and West Ham’s season is all but over.
Although if the Hammers don’t pick up they could become embroiled in an unlikely relegation scrap.
