West Ham United boss David Moyes shared with reporters what he told his players after yesterday’s 3-3 draw with Arsenal at the London Stadium, as quoted by Football.London.

The Hammers were 3-0 up inside the first 30 minutes yesterday.

We were in total control of the game.

The Gunners nicked one goal back just before half-time, however, and the second-half was a completely different story.

Arsenal absolutely dominated proceedings aside from the odd counter attack from West Ham.

David Moyes shares words of encouragement for West Ham players after draw with Arsenal

Failing to win the game yesterday will have been a truly devastating blow for the players and David Moyes.

The Scot now has a real job on his hands to pick the players back up in time for our game against Wolves on April 5th.

Moyes spoke to reporters yesterday and responded when asked what he said to the players after the 3-3 draw with Arsenal, as quoted by Football.London:

“Well, I am not happy because of how it ended, and most importantly they weren’t happy. They knew that we had given up a really good chance. I am also very aware that we were up against a good side. These games are going to be tough and it is never going to be easy. With us going 3-0 up you think things are going to be okay but not against the quality of sides such as the better Premier League sides. They can keep going and keep playing and Arsenal never changed and they have got some really top players and made it really hard for us. Overall the players are disappointed and we are really disappointed we did not win the game but we are not disappointed with parts of what they did today, they showed a lot of good things.”

David Moyes needs West Ham players to bounce back fast

Now things have calmed down, the West Ham players will hopefully learn a lot from the way they approached the second-half against Arsenal yesterday.

A win against Wolves ion two weeks time is now an absolute necessity if the Hammers are to remain in contention for the top four.

The Hammers players have shown real mental strength this season. And they will need that once again after yesterday’s disappointing draw against the Gunners.
