It is suggested that Chelsea are ready to battle it out with Real Madrid and Liverpool for the 19-year-old Borussia Dortmund star.

Chelsea’s ‘grand plan’ has been to sign Declan Rice from West Ham for quite some time now.

Losing the 23-year-old to our London rivals would be a really bitter pill to swallow.

It seems as though Chelsea are now ready to enter the Jude Bellingham race, however. And the Hammers fans should be delighted at that news…

The Blues are ready to attempt to bring the supremely talented England international to Stamford Bridge.

If they do sign Bellingham, it will undoubtedly end their pursuit of Rice.

The 19-year-old has been described as an ‘unbelievable’ player by the Liverpool Echo.

The 17-capped England international is one of the most exciting young talents on the planet, so it’s little wonder why Graham Potter wants to sign him.

Real Madrid want to sign the Birmingham-born ace as well, as do Liverpool (The Telegraph). So Chelsea will certainly not have things all their own way.

Bellingham is a truly brilliant young player, but so is Declan Rice.

Keeping the 23-year-old at the London Stadium over the next few years will be one of the main priorities for David Moyes.

In order to do that, we will obviously have to match his ambitions both on and off the pitch.

Whether West Ham are able to do that remains to be seen.

But with Chelsea ready to enter the Jude Bellingham race, we might just have a better chance of keeping Rice beyond the end of this season than we first thought.
