Former West Ham United midfielder Scott Parker could be replaced by one of his old teammates from here in east London at Burnley.
Parker was relegated from the Premier League for the third time as a manager following another disappointing campaign at Turf Moor. A decision has not been made on his future, but it is reportedly being discussed.
Who is West Ham’s worst manager in the Premier League era and why?
What does Nuno have to do to avoid joining this list?
It is difficult to know where the former England manager sits in the managerial landscape. For almost every relegation, there has been a promotion campaign from the Championship before it, and that is not to be sniffed at.
Indeed, another former Hammer in Frank Lampard has shown that managerial careers are not always defined by linear progress.
Craig Bellamy a potential target for Burnley
Earlier this season, Parker was considered for the West Ham manager’s job during the final days of the Graham Potter era.
Still, a few months on, he is expected to leave Burnley – and Craig Bellamy is a potential option for the Clarets.
How will the Premier League table look when it’s all said and done? 🤔
West Ham are in a precarious position with 4 games to go! 😬
According to noted journalist Ben Jacobs, Bellamy’s name is appreciated by decision makers at Burnley in the event of Parker leaving.
Bellamy, who made 14 appearances alongside Parker in the claret and blue of West Ham during the 2008/09 season, is now in charge of the Welsh national team.

They, however, missed out on World Cup qualification under his watch. It remains to be seen if he could be tempted to leave to take up a managerial job at a club for the first time.
Bellamy has previously worked at Burnley, too. The former Hammers striker served as an assistant manager to Vincent Kompany before the Belgian joined Bayern Munich.
Back in December 2008, Manchester City tried to buy both Parker and Bellamy from West Ham.
At the time, The Independent revealed that West Ham snubbed a £15million offer for both players.
Bellamy, of course, would go on to join City a few weeks later while Parker would stay until the summer of 2011 before he joined Tottenham.
