Bobby Zamora back scoring goals in a West Ham shirt as video shows ex Hammer smashing worldie playing 7-a-side

Former Hammers favourite Bobby Zamora is back scoring goals in the claret and blue of his beloved West Ham United.

Zamora will always be fondly remembered by West Ham fans with whom he has a special bond as a lifelong fan of the club.

Zamo nearly gave up on football altogether when he was released by his boyhood club as a youngster.

But he rebuilt his confidence and forged a fantastic career for himself even going on to represent England.

‘When the ball hits the net, who’s the scorer I bet, it’s Zamora’

Despite playing for Tottenham Hotspur, Zamora was welcomed back to the club with open arms when he was signed by Alan Pardew back in 2004.

He will forever be remembered for scoring the goal that got the Hammers promoted at the second attempt when they beat Preston in the 2006 Play-Off final.

He was not happy at being sold to Fulham in 2008, stating at the time: “West Ham is my club and the team I always wanted to play for but football is a business now.

“It was hard for me to leave as I am a West Ham fan and love the club dearly because I had some brilliant years there.”

Zamo rolls back the years as he smashes home worldie back in West Ham kit while playing 7-a-side

Zamora retired in 2016. But he was back scoring goals in a West Ham shirt this week.

That’s after a video emerged of the forward looking in good shape as he scored an absolute banger for a seven-a-side team of West Ham fans.

Zamora is filmed beating his man and shifting the ball onto that wonderful left foot of his.

And the former Hammer of the Year runner-up smashes home a thunderous strike into the top corner.

What West Ham would do for a striker like Hammers fan Bobby Z next season

The goal left people on the sidelines in awe.

And it will bring back great memories for West Ham supporters who used to sing his name at Upton Park.

What West Ham would do for a striker like Zamora in his prime right now.

David Moyes is desperate to add a quality forward in the summer but value for money is difficult to find – as proved by flop Sebastien Haller.

And West Ham fans are worried the options are already dwindling after a series of recent reports.

It seems the man Moyes wants most is Chelsea outcast Tammy Abraham. But insider ExWHUemployee has appeared to suggest West Ham will have to wait until Thomas Tuchel gets a new star name in first.
