Banners aimed at David Moyes and the owners were unfurled by West Ham fans after the 2-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest.

Another game another defeat for West Ham as a winless 2024 continued.

Reports claimed David Moyes has four games to save his West Ham future going into the game at Forest.

Well if that is the case then the pressure has ratcheted up further still after another loss.

The Hammers made it no wins from eight since the turn of the year.

And they were second best all over the pitch against a Forest side battling relegation.

The hosts could and should have beaten West Ham by more than two goals.

Kalvin Phillips’ red card in the second half essentially ended what was already a one-sided game as a contest.

If West Ham fans and Moyes were hoping for a rousing reaction to the club’s biggest home league defeat in 61 years there was no sign of it at the City Ground.

And there were messages for the manager and owners from some travelling supporters at full-time.

Two large black banners were held aloft demanding ‘Moyes Out’ and ‘GSB Out’.

The latter presumably an old banner from previous board out protests as it refers to majority owner David Sullivan, the Gold family and vice-chair Karren Brady.

This was another abject display with no clear patterns of play, attacking threat or cohesion.

Phillips looked like a fish out of water again until his sending off.

And as for “captain” Kurt Zouma and Nayef Aguerd – where do we begin?

Alphonse Areola kept the score down to 2-0 but it could have easily been another hiding of four or five.

So it is no wonder many fans are unhappy.

West Ham play Brentford at home next on Monday February 26th. And a certain Ivan Toney will be absolutely licking his lips.
