The Hammers had the chance to leapfrog the Reds into fourth spot in the table on Sunday.
Liverpool were way too good for us, however. We didn’t lay a glove on Jurgen Klopp’s side.

The most disappointing facet of West Ham’s defeat to Liverpool was the fact that the players never really looked like they believed they could actually win the game.
And Adrian Durham absolutely hit the nail on the head yesterday.
The talkSPORT host dissected the Hammers’ poor performance against the Premier League champions and was spot on with everything he said.
Adrian Durham nails it with West Ham verdict
The shock jock highlighted how David Moyes’s lack of belief during interviews in the build-up to the game clearly rubbed off onto the players:
David Moyes has worked wonders since taking over at the London Stadium 13 months ago.
Our performances against the so-called big teams, however, is something that the Scot needs to address.
Moyes seems to set his sides up to play the ‘brand’ rather than the specific team he faces on that day.

An example of this was away at Chelsea earlier this season. The Blues were in the midst of a really poor run of form. We showed them way too much respect, however, and ended up losing 3-0.
The same happened with Liverpool on Sunday.
West Ham have been superb on the whole this season. There are still improvements that need to be made, however.
Let’s just hope that David Moyes has noticed the recent trend. He absolutely has to change the way he and his team approach big games.
And perhaps then we will be able to really push on this season.
