Adama Traore has become West Ham’s fourth signing of the January transfer window, and he believes he’s already on the same page as supporters about his style of play.
On Wednesday, West Ham confirmed the signing of Traore from Fulham in a move that reunites the Spaniard with Nuno Espirito Santo, with whom he worked at Wolves.
Traore is a divisive figure, there’s little doubt about that. A true handful on his day, the lack of an end product is something that has dogged him throughout his whole career.

Hit the comments on how you actually feel, I know he divides opinion 😂
That’s not to say the 30-year-old cannot bring something to the party, however. Nuno has worked with Traore before, and that was perhaps the spell of his career.
Indeed, the player himself believes he’s got something the West Ham fans will enjoy, too.
Adama Traore confident that West Ham fans will enjoy his style of play
At his best, Traore is a force to be reckoned with.
His searing runs may not always yield many goals or assists, but he is capable of dragging a team up the pitch and offering an outlet.
That could be crucial to a West Ham side likely to cede possession in their games going forward.
After all, only two teams in the Premier League (Crystal Palace and Burnley) average less possession per game than the Hammers (43.1%).
It was put to Traore that Hammers fans love his style of play. Those pulsating runs, when they do happen, can be a sight to behold.

What do the stats tell us about West Ham's next signing?
The player himself agreed that his particular brand of football will prove to be a nice fit at the London Stadium.
“Yeah, definitely. I think I know in the past I did against them (West Ham), but this time we are in the same team and I think this fits amazing to me,” he told West Ham’s official website.
“I think I will try to give the most excitement to them.”

Adama Traore’s record under Nuno Espirito Santo
Nuno is excited to work alongside Traore at West Ham, having coached him during a spell at Wolves.
Under Nuno’s management, Traore has scored 10 goals while registering 18 assists in 131 appearances.
That’s his best-ever record at senior level, so it’s clear that Nuno knows how to deploy the player.
Traore may not always convince, but it makes sense that Nuno is leaning on players he knows during a relegation scrap.
It will be fascinating to see what improvements Nuno can yield from Traore in east London.
