Julen Lopetegui brought Aaron Wan-Bissaka to West Ham United from Manchester United last month.
Many West Ham fans couldn’t believe it when Julen Lopetegu signed Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Manchester United.
He has looked sensational already and the fact that West Ham had a free run at signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka for just £15 million is truly mind-boggling.
The 26-year-old’s pace and power down the right hand flank will completely transform the Hammers as a team.
He is a huge upgrade on Vladimir Coufal and alongside Max Kilman, he has been our best summer signing during the first month of the season.
If he continues the form he’s showing for West Ham right now, there’s no doubt in my mind that he will receive a call-up for the England squad.
Wan-Bissaka has already proven to be an exceptional signing for West Ham, and Lopetegui has quite clearly been a fan of him for quite some time.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka makes surprising Julen Lopetegui admission
The former Manchester United right-back is easily good enough to play for a top four side, there’s no doubt in my mind about that.
So the fact that Lopetegui managed to bring him to the London Stadium is incredible really, and proves his ambition.

Now the pacy defender has opened up on his move to join the Hammers.
Wan-Bissaka discussed his relationship with West Ham head coach Lopetegui, when speaking to WHUFC.com.
The 26-year-old said, “It’s been pretty smooth. I spoke to the Head Coach before he was at West Ham. So, when I spoke to him again, I kind of knew what he was looking for, what he wanted from me, and after joining the team, it’s been an easy transition.“
Now, it’s unclear as to whether Wan-Bissaka is referring to when Lopetegui was manager at Wolves, or if it was just before he officially took over at the London Stadium.
Lopetegui a long time admirer of Wan-Bissaka
One thing that is clear is that Lopetegui has been a fan of the South London-born defender for quite some time.
The Spaniard was linked with a move to bring Wan-Bissaka to Molineux back when he was in charge of Wolves (talkSPORT).
That obviously didn’t happen in the end and the 26-year-old remained at Old Trafford.
Julen Lopetegui finally got his man though, when he brought Aaron Wan-Bissaka to West Ham this summer.
The former Crystal Palace ace will end up being an incredible player for the Hammers, mark my words.
And his relationship with Lopetegui obviously played a key role in his switch to the London Stadium.
