There will seemingly be a big turnover amongst the playing staff at West Ham United this summer under Graham Potter.
West Ham have a really unbalanced and ageing squad at the moment, and Graham Potter has to change all of that.
The Hammers head coach is reportedly planning a big rebuild this summer, and boy do we need that at the London Stadium.
There are far too many players at the club who are stealing a living right now.

At the same time, Potter seems to be extracting the best from many of our underperforming players since his arrival at West Ham.

Alphonse Areola’s recent renaissance is a great example of that.
There still may be two or three somewhat surprising exits at West Ham this summer though.
West Ham ace Emerson Palmieri deemed surplus to requirements
Emerson Palmieri has actually been very good for West Ham on the whole, since joining us for £15 million from Chelsea in the summer of 2022.
Since his superb performance for the Hammers in the Europa Conference League final in 2023, he has gone from strength to strength for us…up until now that is.
Emerson began the 2024/25 campaign in really poor fashion.
And the 30-year-old has recently lost his place in the team to Ollie Scarles.
Claret and Hugh are claiming that the Italy international could be sold in the summer.
Some might think that selling Emerson would be a big mistake, considering how important he has been for us.

However, I would counter that with the fact that he’ll be 31 in six month’s time. He has regressed, there’s no doubting that, and keeping him at the club would only block Ollie Scarles’ progress and development.
West Ham eyeing exceptional new left-back signing
If Emerson does leave, Potter will most likely bring a new left-back into the club.
The Hammers cannot afford to rely on Scarles alone, obviously.
And it has been claimed that West Ham are battling Arsenal for the signing of the brilliant Club Brugge star Maxim de Cuyper.
The 24-year-old is a truly brilliant left-back, and he can play as a left winger as well.
He would be a big upgrade on Emerson Palmieri at West Ham, because he is a far superior defender than the 30-year-old.
De Cuyper rotating with Scarles at the London Stadium next season would be a joy to watch for the Hammers fans.
