So West Ham United apparently could sign Ryan Sessegnon this summer, after his release from Tottenham.
Ryan Sessegnon is set to be released by Tottenham, and Hammers News mooted a potential transfer to the London Stadium this summer back on the evening of May 20th.
Incoming West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui definitely needs to sign a left wing-back – someone to provide proper competition and cover for Emerson Palmieri.
Even if Aaron Cresswell is staying for another year, the addition of a younger, more powerful and energetic model will be an absolute must.

And now, just 12 hours after we suggested Sessegnon as a good signing, Claret and Hugh have claimed that he is in fact on the Hammers radar.
The 24-year-old has tonnes of ability, but will the Hammers take a big risk on him considering his injury record?
I think we should, and West Ham seemingly have a big advantage over other clubs in the race to sign him…
New Ryan Sessegnon to West Ham claim
C&H have close links to Hammers co-owner David Sullivan, so there may well be some truth to these Sessegnon claims.
I would love the former Fulham man at the London Stadium. However, there are two big words of warning.
Firstly, his injury record is appalling. He has missed 439 days of action through injury since the start of the 2022/23 season (Transfermarkt).
Secondly, there is real competition for his signature, but the Hammers may well hold the upper hand, and here’s why…

Fabrizio Romano recently suggested that the 24-year-old wants to remain in the Premier League, so that gives us an instant advantage.
West Ham have the added bonus of being able to offer Ryan Sessegnon the chance to remain in London, rather than going through the upheaval of moving either aboard or cross country.
Signing the talented Englishman for absolutely nothing mitigates the risk involved in bringing him to the London Stadium.
And with Lopetegui in need of strengthening in so many different positions this summer, bringing Sessegnon to the London Stadium really should be a no-brainer for the Spaniard.
