West Ham United were abysmal against Everton at the London Stadium on Saturday.
There’s no other way of looking at it – it was an utter disgrace from Julen Lopetegui and his West Ham players.

Lopetegui will surely be sacked after that disgusting performance against the Toffees…surely he will.
Reports before the game suggested that the Spaniard could be sent packing if the players put in an unconvincing performance, and that’s exactly what they served up.
There was no energy from the players, and a clear lack of any patterns of play or a discernible footballing identity held us back yet again.
These are worrying times for the Hammers, and something happened today that should be the clearest indication yet for David Sullivan that he needs to get rid of Lopetegui.
West Ham owners need to sack Julen Lopetegui now
There’s no way that these players want to play for Lopetegui, I’m just not having it.
That said, the players definitely need to take more responsibility for their own performances.
Big improvements will be needed for our next two games against Newcastle and Arsenal, that’s for sure.
However, I still firmly believe Lopetegui needs to go, and one post from a Hammers reporter proves exactly why.
The Athletic reporter Roshane Thomas took to his official X account 10 minutes after the second-half began.
Thomas has hit the nail on the head there.
The fans don’t want to watch this team anymore. The life has been sucked out of us by Lopetegui’s ‘suffer-ball’ approach to the game.
He never should have been appointed as Hammers boss in the first place, and now Sullivan has to sack him.
The longer Julen Lopetegui remains in charge of West Ham, the more problems we will experience this season.
He needs to go tonight. At least then, the new manager coming in will have a couple of weeks to prepare for our next game.
