Nuno Espirito Santo has named an unchanged XI for West Ham United’s trip to reigning Premier League champions Liverpool this afternoon.

In what feels like a bold move, though, West Ham United will instead go to the champions with a more attack-driven XI.

Taty Castellanos, Crysencio Summerville and Jarrod Bowen all keep their places in the frontline, while Mateus Fernandes and Tomas Soucek will play ahead of Soungoutou Magassa in the centre of the park.

Nuno highlighted taty Castellanos’ defensive output this week. The Argentine’s high-pressing may be key to disrupting Liverpool’s rhythm.

And, years after David Moyes vetoed a deal for Hugo Ekitike, the Hammers’ much improved defensive record will be given arguably it’s biggest test yet. Ekitike leads the line with Mo Salah and Cody Gakpo on the wings, although none of the trio have found goals easy to come by of late.

Nuno sees Adama Traore as an impact sub rather than a starter, and he is again on the bench. Callum Wilson is also among the substitutes today.
