West Ham continued their impressive run away from home as they picked up a point against Brighton at the AmEx Stadium.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side secured a 1-1 draw against Brighton in the Premier League, with Jarrod Bowen finding the back of the net for the visitors.

Georginio Rutter scored a late goal to salvage a point for the Seagulls on Sunday.

Max Kilman continues to frustrate in defence

Much to the annoyance of the Hammers fans, Nuno opted to start Max Kilman against Brighton.

The English defender was a clear liability with the ball at his feet and is not the kind of player a manager wants when teams are pressing high.

He made a lot of questionable decisions on and off the ball and has still not justified the club’s huge investment in him.

Had Alphonse Areola not been at the top of his game, Kilman’s mistakes would have been exposed on Sunday afternoon.

Jarrod Bowen leads by example for West Ham

Bowen started in his familiar right wing position and once again proved to be a thorn in the opposition’s side.

He kept looking to make things happen down the right flank and had five attempts on goal all game.

The England international was finally rewarded for his efforts as he found the back of the net, much to the delight of Nuno.

The Hammers captain also dropped deep on numerous occasions to get the ball at his feet and attempt to make things happen.

This was, in many ways, the perfect response to the critics who were on his back for underperforming in recent games.

He showed them that he can deliver when the pressure is on him and proved that he is a viable candidate to be the captain for the foreseeable future.
