Some West Ham fans think Vladimir Coufal was the unsung hero during last night’s win away at Leeds.

The Hammers earned a valuable three points against the Whites at Elland Road.

Heading into the game, everyone thought we would be in for an incredibly difficult night in west Yorkshire.

As it transpired, however, West Ham deserved to win the game by two or three goals.

We totally dominated Leeds as David Moyes delivered a tactical masterclass against wily veteran Marcelo Bielsa.

There were so many standout performers for the Hammers.

 

Said Benrahma was magnificent if not a little wasteful with his final ball. Angelo Ogbonna and Fabian Balbuena defended resolutely whilst Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek put in terrier-like displays in the middle of the park.

Vladimir Coufal was lauded as West Ham’s unsung hero by some fans, however.

The 28-year-old has been superb since moving to the London Stadium from Slavia Prague for £5.4 million in October (BBC).

The Czech Republic international seems to be tailor made for the robust and intense nature of the Premier League.

He was everywhere last night and put in a real shift both defensively and in the final third.

And some West Ham fans raved about Coufal’s display against Leeds last night…
