Some West Ham United fans have praised Said Benrahma for his performance away at Stockport County in the FA Cup tonight.
It was a cold, wet and all around difficult night for the Hammers at Edgeley Park.
It was never going to be easy for West Ham.
David Moyes selected a very strong team with Tomas Soucek and Aaron Cresswell the only notable absentees aside from the injured Lukasz Fabianski.
Said Benrahma was handed another start. The Algerian joined the Hammers on transfer deadline day in October on a season-long loan from Brentford for £4 million (Eurosport).
The east London club have an obligation to buy the Algeria international for £25 million in the summer (Eurosport).
Benrahma hasn’t been given too many chances to impress but when he has played, he’s looked like he could be a real difference maker for West Ham.
The 25-year-old, who earns around £50k-a-week (Claret and Hugh), always tried to make something happen when he had the ball tonight.
Benrahma has the kind fo ability that will endear him to the Hammers fans.
He just needs more time to settle into life in London and get used to the way in which he teammates play.
