Some West Ham United fans absolutely raved about Issa Diop after his fine display against Manchester United tonight.

The 24-year-old hardly played for the Hammers during the first half of the season, after contracting Covid way back in September.
Diop got his chance again when Angelo Ogbonna suffered an ankle injury last month, however.
And despite a few nervy moments, the Frenchman seems to be back to somewhere near his best.
The former Toulouse defender, who earns £62k-a-week according to Football League FC, made a superb start to the game against Manchester United tonight.
He stepped out from the back on numerous occasions to incept balls into Man United’s front three.
Diop was a calming and reassuring presence at the heart of thew Hammers defence alongside Craig Dawson and Aaron Cresswell tonight.
The 24-year-old really has a great chance to cement his place in the West Ham starting XI now.
If he keeps playing like he did tonight, he will leave David Moyes will no choice. It really is that simple.
It must be said that Diop is by far from the complete defender, however. He tends to switch off at crucial times during games. And he did that a couple of times tonight when he completely lost his man.
The 6ft 4in centre-back has so much potential though. Let’s just hope that he goes on to fulfil it at the London Stadium.
