The 30-year-old has been an absolute revelation for the Hammers since moving to the London Stadium on loan from Watford in October.
He had to be patient and bide his time before making his first start for West Ham.
David Moyes finally gave Dawson his chance just after Christmas and the towering centre-back hasn’t looked back since.
The former West Brom defender just keeps getting better and better.
The Hammers can sign Dawson on a permanent deal for just £2 million in the summer according to Claret and Hugh.
Surely we will take up that option at the end of the season. We certainly will if he carries on his current form.
Nobody predicted just how important the 30-year-old would end up being for David Moyes’s side.
His passing may not be the best but he is a proper defender. He puts his body on the line time and time against for West Ham.
The Hammers look so much more solid with the Watford-owned defender in the heart of our defence.
