Tim Sherwood delivered his post-match verdict as West Ham suffered defeat to Fulham at the London Stadium in the Premier League.
Raul Jimenez scored late on for the Cottagers to ensure that Nuno Espirito Santo’s side had very little time to mount a comeback on Saturday afternoon.
Despite their best efforts, West Ham failed to equalise against Fulham and find themselves in grave danger of relegation.
This is shocking! 😰 Relegation is going to be dire for West Ham…

Tim Sherwood urges West Ham not to panic
Sherwood is aware of the grave situation the Hammers find themselves in, especially after a loss at home against a side they should be getting something from.
As Nottingham Forest also lost their game on Saturday, albeit to Manchester City, the gap between 18th and 17th remains at five points.
However, it is West Ham and not Forest who are in the relegation zone, and Nuno needs his team to quickly turn around their fortunes.
What should Nuno be telling his players at full-time? 💭
And what do you want to see against Wolves?
While it is not an ideal situation, Sherwood has urged the Irons not to panic and wants the fans to get behind the team.
The former Tottenham manager has admitted that it’s shameful for them to be in this situation, but does not believe that they are doomed for relegation.
Speaking on Premier League’s Saturday Wrap, he said: “I think it’s really important West Ham don’t panic. At this point they look like they’re in real trouble. They have to start winning football matches. It’s a real shame for them and they look in real trouble.”

How can Nuno save West Ham from relegation?
When Nuno was appointed in September, the remit was clear.
He was told to get the side away from the relegation zone, but he has failed to do that.
With no wins in their last five and three losses in a row, the Portuguese is already feeling the pressure at the London Stadium.
He will be hoping that West Ham bring in at least two quality players in the January transfer window, ideally a centre-back and a striker.
Apart from that, he may need to turn to his academy and also tweak his system a bit, as some of the players just do not seem to be adding value to the team.
Getting at least four points from the games against Brighton and Wolves is the bare minimum and failure to do that would only increase the pressure on him.
