Callum Wilson was the hero for West Ham United on Saturday but it was another player who took the plaudits from supporters.
While it was Wilson’s late goal that saw West Ham beat Tottenham 2-1 in the Premier League to move within five points of safety, the forward only got a few minutes of action.
Prior to that, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side were doing relatively well. They were excellent in the first half and took a deserved lead through Crysencio Summerville.

There was an element of luck to the goal given it came off Micky van de Ven on its way past Guglielmo Vicario in the Spurs net, but the Irons deserved their lead.
After the break, Spurs grew into the ascendancy and West Ham had to lean on the excellent Jean-Clair Todibo and Konstantinos Mavropanos to clear their lines.
Still, Hammers News readers had one clear winner when asked for their Man of the Match.

What has been said about Crysencio Summerville’s performance against Tottenham
It’s been a very good week for the Dutchman.
On Sunday, he scored only his second ever goal for the Hammers during their win over QPR in the FA Cup, before teeing up Taty Castellanos for the winner.
Less than a week later, the former Leeds star gave his side the lead against Spurs.
Summerville is in good form just at the right time.
Nuno, however, is not getting carried away.
After the Spurs game, Nuno said he expected more from Summerville, although that goes for every player in the squad.
“I expect much more from him,” he said.
“I expect much more from [all] our players.
“We are pushing them, they have talent and they have to show it. All of them need improvement, but as long as they believe, we can do it.”
