Crysencio Summerville’s goal was not enough to see him crowned as Man of the Match following West Ham United’s win over Fulham.
That honour instead fell to another key figure amid West Ham United’s recent resurgence.

Fulham boss thinks Fernandes should've seen red… 🟥
Indeed, while Summerville sealed West Ham’s win over Fulham with a fine goal, Hammers News subscribers instead named one of his teammates as their Man of the Match.
Unsurprisingly, Mads Hermansen picked up that particular award.
Mads Hermansen named Man of the Match vs Fulham by West Ham fans
The website asked supporters for their standout player following the game. Hermansen and Summerville were both options, along with the impressive Jean-Clair Todibo.
The Dane amassed most of the vote (51.07%), with Summerville coming second (34.37%).
Todibo raked in 11.07%, while we also asked our subscribers to name some other candidates.
Magassa MARVELLOUS at Fulham! 🇫🇷 💯
But what should his role be at West Ham?
Axel Disasi was mentioned by one supporter, but it was largely Hermansen who was on the receiving end of the praise.

Hammers News subscribers react to Mads Hermansen’s performance vs Fulham
Some of our subscribers were full of praise for Hermansen.
This has been a very difficult season for the Dane, who lost his place in the starting lineup not long after joining the Irons from Leicester.
However, Hermansen is now enjoying a return to form at West Ham and could end up playing a huge role in keeping the team in the Premier League.
Reacting to his performance, one of our subscribers said: “Whole team were collectively phenomenal but Hermansen had a game.”
Another added: “Hermansen. Two superb saves and well deserved reaction saves at that.”
“Kept us in the match!,” was another comment.
One supporter said: “Fantastic saves in the first and second halves to keep us in the game.”
Out of nowhere, the goalkeeper is looking like one of West Ham’s most important players ahead of the nine remaining cup finals in the Premier League.
