Set-pieces have been the cornerstone of the Hammers’ success this season.

We have scored eight goals from free-kicks and corners – the second most in the Premier League.

For some reason, however, West Ham have started to take short corners and free-kicks over the past two games. It has completely nullified our potency from set plays.

Last night, we wasted numerous opportunities to get the ball into Southampton’s box by trying to be too clever. And it really cost us.

“They’ve been so good on set-pieces all season. The first thing I did was look at the bench because I thought David Moyes would be absolutely losing it.”

We have to go back to what was working so well for us.

West Ham are one of the biggest teams in the Premier League. And we absolutely should be using that to our advantage.

Enough of trying to be clever. Stop the short corner malarky now!!
