Jamie Carragher praised Michail Antonio for the role he played in the build up to Jesse Lingard putting West Ham United 1-0 up against Wolves last night, when speaking on Sky Sports Monday Night Football (April 5th, 10:22 pm).

Lingard has been in sensational form since moving to the London Stadium on loan from Manchester United in January.
The 28-year-old has six goals and three assists to his name in just eight games for the Hammers so far.
Jesse was in superb form once again last night.
West Ham beat Wolves 3-2, earning a massive three points in the process.

Lingard received all of the plaudits after the game and rightly so.
Michail Antonio was absolutely superb for us as well, however, before he unfortunately had to be substituted after tweaking his hamstring.
The 31-year-old looked back to his brilliant best.
Jamie Carragher lauds Michail Antonio for clever run during build up to Jesse Lingard goal
The West Ham striker was a constant menace to the Wolves defence.
Carragher noticed something brilliant Antonio did just before Lingard put us 1-0 up at Molineux last night:

“Without Michail Antonio’s run. Coufal got the assist, but the bigger assist comes from Michail Antonio because he makes a run. If he doesn’t make that run, Jesse Lingard doesn’t score the goal. His run drags Conor Coady out the way, brilliant combination play.”
Let’s hope that Antonio is ok for next weekend’s clash with Leicester. West Ham desperately need a fully dit and firing Michy for the final eight games of the season if we are to finish inside the top four.
Hopefully his substitution was purely a precaution.
Antonio proved last night just how important he is to this West Ham team in only 30 minutes of action.
