Claret and Hugh have claimed that Andriy Yarmolenko asked to be included in last night’s starting line-up for the Papa John’s clash with Peterborough.

The Hammers insiders also suggest that West Ham boss David Moyes could opt to use the 92-capped Ukraine international as a central striker when he returns to full fitness.
The chance to play centrally may well appeal to Yarmolenko. The attacker hasn’t been given enough game-time in east London.
He has just 18 months remaining on his contract. So time is running out for Yarmo.
The 31-year-old has no chance of usurping Jarrod Bowen in the right-wing role.

And his alleged request to start last night’s game for the under-21’s prove just how keen he is to work hard and prove his quality.
The Ukrainian has flattered to deceive since joining West Ham from Borussia Dortmund for £18 million in the summer of 2018 (Football Insider).
Yarmolenko has shown his undeniable quality but only fleetingly. Perhaps a switch to the centre-forward position could be just what he needs in order to reinvigorate his career.

With Michail Antonio out injured and Sebastien Haller failing to deliver on a consistent basis, it wouldn’t surprise anyone if Yarmo was given a run out against Leeds or Crystal Palace.
The former Dortmund ace obviously still has the hunger. Asking to be included in the under-21’s line-up last night proves that.
After all, not many senior players would be interested in representing the youth side.
He could still be a useful asset for West Ham.
Perhaps David Moyes will have a surprise up his sleeve on Friday night. At the very least, Yarmolenko will be a useful option to have on the bench.
