And the former Hammers suggested that he didn’t realise quite how cheeky the Algerian was on the pitch.
David Moyes brought the 25-year-old to the London Stadium from Brentford in October on a season long loan with an obligation to buy for £25 million next summer (Goal).
Said Benrahma has been eased in slowly at West Ham by the Scot. But he proved last night just how important he could be for the Hammers this season.

Said Benrahma gives West Ham something different. He has that little bit of magic that we have been missing since Dimitri Payet left almost four years ago.
David Moyes’s side can achieve great things this season if we continue our current form and find a level of consistency that has been lacking since we moved to the London Stadium.
One or two top class signings in January and the future will look very bright in east London.
And with Benrahma already on the firm, not many teams will get a comfortable ride against the Hammers this season.
£25 million for the Algerian could end up looking like a real coup.
