David Moyes’s men then went two up just a minute later through a Jarrod Bowen strike.

It was three inside the 30 minute mark when Tomas Soucek prodded home from a Michail Antonio knock-down.

Arsenal came firing back, however.

Mikel Arteta’s side reduced the deficit just before half-time after Alexandre Lacazette fired a shot towards goal. Tomas Soucek got a touch and it was 3-1 at half-time.

The Gunners then scored after 60 minutes – another own goal, this time from Craig Dawson.

West Ham then came back into the game and looked really threatening every time on the counter attack.

It really was a great game of football – real cut and thrust at both ends.

Arsenal then levelled things up on 81 minutes after Lacazette nodded home at the back post.

It ended 3-3.

Lineker clearly thought the game was done and dusted inside the first half and hour.

He was proved badly wrong, however.
