Crysencio Summerville addressed the West Ham United fans after playing a key role in their win over QPR on Sunday.
The Dutch winger may frustrate onlookers at times and the fact he hadn’t scored a goal all season prior to Sunday’s game is difficult to ignore.
Still, Summerville did play a key role as West Ham United beat QPR 2-1 to progress into the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Having been denied a goal against Nottingham Forest earlier this week following a tight VAR call, the 24-year-old finally got off the mark this season with the opener just before half-time.
Summerville finished well from a reasonably tight angle and while Richard Kone levelled for QPR after the break, the West Ham winger turned provider in extra-time.
The former Leeds star left his marker for dead with a fine turn before crossing well for Taty Castellanos to head in his first goal for the club, which sealed progress into the next round.

Nuno Espirito Santo has been trying to get Summerville to improve at West Ham and he certainly got a response on Sunday.
Clearly, the fact he was playing against Championship opposition should perhaps temper the excitement somewhat, but this team need all the positives they can get right now.
Immediately after the game, West Ham’s official Twitter account posted a video of Summerville’s instant reaction to the result.
He said: “Hi, Summerville here, happy with the win today! Happy with the support of you guys and see you in the next round. Come on you Irons!”

While to take nothing away from his performance, the fact that it came against a Championship side does need to be taken into account.
Now, the challenge that awaits has to be replicating that in the Premier League. That’s easier said than done of course, but West Ham do need more from their winger.
Summerville was praised against QPR and rightly so. Two moments of quality unlocked a very difficult game for his side.
There is little doubt, however, that it’s not yet enough to suggest the tide has turned.
If he can build on this against Tottenham next weekend, perhaps it will after all.
