Julen Lopetegui has named his West Ham starting lineup for the Premier League clash with Manchester City this evening.
West Ham won away at Crystal Palace last weekend, but we all know how hard it will be for us to make it two wins in a row today.
Manchester City have won the Premier League title four years in a row, and they are widely considered to be the best team in world football, so the players in the starting lineup selected by Julen Lopetegui today will have their work cut out.
The West Ham head coach brought in nine new players this summer, so it will definitely take some time for everything to come together.
Man City will represent a really tough test today, so how has Lopetegui set up his team to take on the champions?
Confirmed West Ham starting lineup vs Manchester City
If we can take a positive result away from the game today, it will be a huge achievement.
However, Man City are missing some keys players, including Phil Foden.

In an attempt to combat Manchester City’s strengths today, Lopetegui has made changes form the team that beat Crystal Palace last weekend.
Here’s how West Ham lineup today, as confirmed via the club’s official X account:
Alphonse Areola, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Max Kilman, Konstantinos Mavropanos, Emerson Palmieri, Guido Rodriguez, Edson Alvarez, Lucas Paqueta, Mohammed Kudus, Jarrod Bowen, Michail Antonio
Wan-Bissaka and Alvarez come into the team today in place of Vladimir Coufal and Tomas Soucek.
That’s a very strong starting XI if you ask me, and we definitely have the players capable of causing Man City some problems.
It will be key for every single one of our players to be 100% on it today. They all need to put in a shift, defend with discipline and retain their concentration levels throughout the entire game.
Don’t be fooled, Manchester City are definitely beatable, and this West Ham starting lineup has more than enough about it to do exactly that.
That said, I would take a draw all day long!
