Well, well, well. It seems like West Ham United have been handed some really great news ahead of the Tottenham Hotspur clash.

West Ham take on Tottenham in the 12:30 Premier League kick-off tomorrow lunchtime, and Julen Lopetegui is in desperate need of a result.

The 4-1 win over Ipswich Town at the London Stadium two weeks ago eased the pressure on the Hammers head coach, but a heavy defeat to Spurs would put us right back to square one.

Whilst Tottenham away is always a very tough game, we have won three times at their place since 2017 – not a bad record whatsoever.

However, there were a few key absentees from training at Rush Green on Wednesday, with a new-look front-line looking possible.

Whichever XI Lopetegui settles on, the key will be to match the Tottenham players for effort. If we’re being honest here, they could actually be there for the taking, what with the pressure on Postecoglou right now.

Paul Merson riled up the Spurs fans before the game by suggesting Tottenham are ‘Spursy’!

The Hammers might just fancy this one, and now we’ve been handed a big boost ahead of the match.

The Hammers fans will be sweating on the fitness of numerous players after the two-week international break.

Whilst Niclas Fullkrug is the only real injury concern, there were various players who were nowhere to be seen in the Wednesday training video.

But now, we have been given a truly massive boost.

Lucas Paqueta was filmed heading into training at Rush Green on Thursday afternoon, as shown via the club’s official X account.

That is great news for the Hammers. Lucas looked to be in good spirits as well.

It was only yesterday when he released a statement in response to the FA probe he’s facing.

And after he was absent from training on Wednesday, having not played for Brazil since Friday October 11th, many thought he might not be ready to play against Spurs.

It appears as though that will not be the case now though.

West Ham need Lucas Paqueta to be firing on all cylinders against Tottenham on Saturday.

On his day, he is an elite player who is impossible to defend against, but we just haven’t seen enough of that ability this season unfortunately.

Maybe the London derby against Spurs will be the game when Paqueta finally comes back to life for the Hammers.
