Rice came back with a bang last night.
The England international was a little bit rusty early on and he didn’t seem to be 100 per cent fit.
Having him on the pitch was key for West Ham, however, and David Moyes will be delighted to have him back.
Rice is the most important player at the London Stadium. Make no mistake about that.
Keeping hold of him will be vitally important to our hopes of achieving any kind of success over the next few years.
West Ham ace Declan Rice stands out against Brighton
The 22-year-old produced some top class numbers against the Seagulls.
Rice racked up 90 touches, two blocked shots, 15 ball recoveries and recorded a 94% pass accuracy from 77 passes made (Who Scored).

West Ham need him at his very best for the final two games of the season. If we are to finish inside the top six, nothing less than two wins will do.
European football is still very possible. Who would have thought that at the start of the season!
Had we not lost Declan Rice at the end of March, however, we could be well inside the top four now. And that his in no way an exaggeration. It just proves how vital he is to this West Ham team.
