'Very good': West Ham boss David Moyes thinks Everton signed two excellent players this summer

West Ham United boss David Moyes has raved about two Everton players ahead of the Premier League clash this afternoon.

It should be a great game of football today with both sides chasing a win. Everton have already been handed a big boost with news that Dominic Calvert-Lewin could be back fit.

Both West Ham and Everton are in massive need of three points at Goodison Park this afternoon after shaky starts to the season.

In fairness, the Hammers and the Toffees are in transition this season.

Meanwhile, Everton have brought in nine new faces after losing 11 in the summer.

Bedding in that many new players takes time, obviously. The thing is, West Ham and Everton could both be in serious relegation trouble entering into the World Cup break in November, should they continue to struggle to pick up points.

We’re sure that the results will come for the Hammers. We’re far too good to be where we are in the table at the moment. And Moyes clearly thinks Everton will be just fine too…

The Hammers manager addressed the media ahead of this afternoon’s Premier League clash at Goodison Park.

And Moyes named two Everton players in particular who he’s a big fan of, as quoted by Football.London:

“I think Everton are a bit like ourselves, there is a rebuild going on and I think Frank is starting to put things together. They have obviously not had as much money to spend as they have in maybe the past seasons. I think they have got in some really good players, Conor Coady, James Tarkowski – they are very good, experienced Premier League players.”

Coady and Tarkowski are two very experienced Premier League players.

And they are probably exactly what Everton need right now.

The simple fact of the matter is that had Moyes signed those two players, the West Ham fans would not have been happy.

The Hammers have progressed to a completely different level than the Toffees over the past two years. For that reason we should comfortably beat them this afternoon.

We all know how tough it will be for West Ham at Everton this afternoon though. They have plenty of players who are well-versed in grinding out results.

Let’s just hope that the players show up this afternoon.
