Something has to give when pointless West Ham United and Arsenal lock horns on Saturday.

This is one of the more friendly London rivalries, owning much to a mutual hatred of Tottenham of course.

Both the Hammers and Gunners have new managers in Manuel Pellegrini and Unai Emery.

Neither has tasted victory yet and the pressure is already mounting.

Arsenal at least showed signs of promise in their defeat to Chelsea.

But West Ham have looked a much longer-term project after defeats to Liverpool and Bournemouth.

Very few Hammers players emerged from the Cherries defeat with any credit.

And Pellegrini looks set to make sweeping changes to the side for the trip to the Emirates.

As many as four in fact as he searches for his best side.

Aaron Cresswell in for Arthur Masuaku

Masuaku is not a leftback in the traditional sense and he leaves West Ham far too exposed when he plays in a back four.

Cresswell will surely come back into the team if Pellegrini is to persist with that formation.

Andriy Yarmolenko in for Robert Snodgrass

Snodgrass could be a useful squad player this season but West Ham fans were shocked and disappointed to see him start against Bournemouth.

He was no worse than any other player but did not have any impact on the game. Yarmolenko has looked very good in his two cameo substitute appearances so far and will surely start his first game for the Hammers.

Carlos Sanchez in for Mark Noble

Speculation online suggests Noble is injured for the game. His place would have been under threat anyway.

But if he is injured (back), then he will be replaced by new signing Sanchez, who is a specialist defensive midfielder. That should give Jack Wilshere a bit more license to impress at his old club.

Pedro Obiang in for Javier Hernandez

The Hammers are likely to play with Marko Arnautovic as a lone striker in such a tough away game.

So Hernandez will make way for Pedro Obiang to sit in midfield as the conduit between Sanchez and Wilshere.

Predicted West Ham XI to face Arsenal
