West Ham United have received some much needed good news ahead of Monday night’s daunting visit of Liverpool.
West Ham’s season has been derailed in the last two weeks.
The Hammers have crashed out of the most wide open FA Cup for decades after a pathetic defeat to League One strugglers AFC Wimbledon.
Consecutive Premier League defeats have also seen Manuel Pellegrini’s side slip to 12th in the table.
Rare good news for Pellegrini
On top of that West Ham are also counting the cost of a league-worst injury list.
But ahead of the visit of title hopefuls Liverpool there is some rare good news for Pellegrini.
Both Lukasz Fabianski and Marko Arnautovic look set to face the Reds.
The game comes too soon for Samir Nasri but Aaron Cresswell should also make it after a hamstring niggle.
Relief for Hammers fans, bad news for Liverpool?
That will be a huge relief for Hammers fans who would be fearing a thumping if the hapless Arthur Masuaku kept his place in the side.
Both Fabianski and Arnautovic were injured in the 3-0 defeat to Wolves last time out.
Arnautovic’s injury was not as bad as first feared. There were concerns over Fabianski after a collision against Wolves.
The Poland star is ok, though, according to whufc.com.
The triple fitness boost is great news for the Hammers who could yet have a huge say in the title race.
Three changes for Pellegrini
Pellegrini will make three changes to to the team.
Pedro Obiang will come into the side in place of Robert Snodgrass to give West Ham more legs in central midfield alongside Mark Noble and Declan Rice.
That will see Michail Antonio revert to his place out wide right with Arnautovic up front.
Predicted West Ham starting XI vs Liverpool:
Fabianksi, Zabaleta, Diop, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Antonio, Obiang, Rice, Noble, Anderson, Arnautovic.
