Predicted line-up: David Moyes makes nine West Ham changes for Leeds as two miss out with Covid and young striker debuts

David Moyes will make nine West Ham changes for the FA Cup clash with Leeds as two players miss out with Covid and a young striker debuts.

That’s our prediction at Hammers News as the West Ham boss rings the changes after seeing the postponed Norwich game dumped between a Leeds cup and league double header in midweek.

West Ham are missing at least two players due to Covid for this one with Vladimir Coufal and Harrison Ashby both believed to be out.

That will mean Ryan Fredericks comes back into the side at right-back.

On the other flank Arthur Masuaku will come in at left-back.

Alphonse Areola comes in for Lukasz Fabianski while Craig Dawson is one of the players who will keep his place from the West Ham side that started against Crystal Palace last time out.

He looks like possibly being partnered by left-footed academy centre-back Aji Alese, who impressed in the Europa League last month.

In midfield Mark Noble and Alex Kral come in for Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek.

Pablo Fornals comes in for Manuel Lanzini while Nikola Vlasic replaces Said Benrahma who said goodbye to West Ham for a month last week as he jetted off to the African Nations.

Moyes will then play Jarrod Bowen up front with young forward Armstrong Oko-Flex finally making his debut after some scintillating form for West Ham’s Under 23s this season.

Oko-Flex, who shone in pre-season for West Ham after joining from Celtic, could replace Michail Antonio who may be rested for the Norwich game.

But given the fact West Ham have already had a week off, Antonio may start up front with Bowen rested instead. Whoever starts of the two will play up top with Oko-Flex in one of the wide forward roles.

There is the possibility Andriy Yarmolenko will play rather than Oko-Flex. But West Ham are trying to offload the Ukraine winger and his £115k per week wages this month. And Hammers fans would much rather see Oko-Flex given his head against Leeds.

While West Ham make nine changes, they face a Leeds side who are reportedly without nine players of their own for the London Stadium clash.

Predicting Moyes’s team for this one is a bit like finding a needle in a haystack.

But it is clear the Hammers boss will not be able to go full strength with two Premier League games in six days.

The good thing is the Leeds clash is the first of three home games in a week after West Ham played five of their last six games away from the London Stadium.

Predicted West Ham starting XI to face Leeds in the FA Cup:

Areola, Fredericks, Dawson, Alese, Masuaku, Kral, Noble, Fornals, Vlasic, Oko-Flex (or Yarmolenko), Bowen (or Antonio).
