Massive treat for West Ham and Manchester United fans on Thursday night with Farewell Boleyn re-run

There is a massive treat on the way for fans of West Ham United and less so Manchester United tomorrow.

Football – and indeed most sport – is shut down for the foreseeable future due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Premier League will not resume until April 30th at the earliest meaning West Ham’s intense battle against relegation is on hold.

Manchester United too had just started gaining momentum and were looking a strong bet for a return to Champions League football.

West Ham and Man United fans in limbo after football shut down

But there is a lot of uncertainty given the present state of affairs. So West Ham and Man United fans will have to wait like everyone else before it is safe for the action to get back under way.

It has made for a dearth in entertainment for bored fans whether you are West Ham, Manchester United or anyone else.

Supporters have been taking to social media, fans’s forums and radio phone-ins quipping they will never take even the dullest live matches for granted again.

Well there is good news for West Ham and Man United supporters.

Pandemic puts normal way of life on hold

West Ham are showing a full re-run of the thrilling final game at Upton Park on Thursday evening.

The Hammers came from behind to beat the mighty Manchester United 3-2 at the Boleyn on a famous night which went into the history books.

The Red Devils more than played their part and as giants of world football provided the most fitting of opponents for a wonderful and emotional occasion.

West Ham announced the game would be replayed on the club’s YouTube channel at 6pm as part of ‘Throwback Thursday’.

“The entire Premier League match between the Irons and the Red Devils, as well as the pre-match ceremony and post-match celebrations, will be available to watch once again right on and on the West Ham United YouTube channel,” the club said in an announcement on their official website.

“Join us on Thursday 26 March, 6pm, either on the West Ham website, on YouTube, or the West Ham United app to re-watch one of the most famous games in Hammers history!”
