The Hammers brought the 30-year-old to the London Stadium on a season-long loan back in October.

There were plenty of eyebrows raised at the time from the West Ham fans. Many thought he quite simply wasn’t good enough for the Premier League.

And how wrong they were.

Dawson has been exceptional since coming into the team at the end of last year.

Martin Keown a big fan of Craig Dawson

Five games, four wins and a draw and only one goal conceded – not bad for someone labelled as a ‘Championship player at best’ when he moved to the London Stadium.

“Outstanding business. They wanted Tarkowski who would have cost them £30 million and can now sign Dawson for a couple of million. He’s been outstanding.”

West Ham can sign Dawson on a permanent deal for somewhere in the region of £2-3 million according to Claret and Hugh.

It is surely a deal that we must complete this month. Signing the 30-year-old permanently would also free up another domestic loan spot.

In fact, Dawson’s form has been so impressive that signing him permanently now seems like an absolute no-brainer.

Make it happen Moysie!
