Rumours have been circulating that West Ham United star Vladimir Coufal is not in the squad for today’s game against Brighton.

David Moyes piles pressure on West Ham star ahead of Brighton

Coufal has been brilliant for West Ham since signing from Slavia Prague for a bargain £5million.

The right-back and his partner welcomed a new baby on Christmas Day.

And speculation has been rife in the build up to West Ham’s game against Brighton that he has been given the game off by David Moyes.

Speculation rife right-back would miss Brighton clash

That was giving West Ham fans cause for concern given Coufal’s back-up is the less fancied Ryan Fredericks and Ben Johnson.

But claims Coufal is not in the squad have been denied by reliable West Ham insider ExWHUemployee ahead of kick-off.

Speaking on his Patreon site, ExWHUemployee said: “Despite his partner giving birth to a baby girl on Christmas Day, Vladimir Coufal is expected to be available for selection today.”

Ex then followed that up on Twitter by further denying the claims that Coufal was not in the squad.

“Yes Coufal is available to play,” ExWHUemployee added.

Insider denies claims and says key defender is available

The anonymous West Ham insider went on to agree with a point once made by Roy Keane that it is not the player who has had the baby so why should he be unavailable.

“Exactly,” ExWHUemployee added.

Moyes could drop both Mark Noble and Sebastien Haller for the game against West Ham’s bogey side the Seagulls.

Andriy Yarmolenko could be set for a chance to play up front as a false nine.

West Ham have not beaten Brighton in the Premier League, drawing the last three and losing the three before that.

Moyes will hope West Ham can change that today and get the club’s quest for European football back on track.
