James Ward-Prowse wants revenge on Olympiacos for their behaviour towards West Ham behind the scenes after the defeat in Greece.
A Greek Meze platter may be a dish best served warm but revenge is a dish best served cold.
And West Ham want to serve up Olympiacos on a platter after their actions following the 2-1 defeat in Greece two weeks ago.
West Ham’s run of going 17 games unbeaten run in Europe – an English record – came to an end that night.

And it has thrown Europa League Group A wide open between the Hammers, Freiburg and Olympiacos.
West Ham go into Thursday night’s home clash against the Greeks off the back of a 3-2 defeat at Brentford.
But motivation is high to get one over on Olympiacos according to one Hammers star.
James Ward-Prowse wants revenge on Olympiacos for their behaviour towards West Ham behind the scenes after the defeat in Greece.

Speaking on a new episode of Iron Cast – West Ham’s official podcast – Ward-Prowse says Olympiacos were very ungracious in victory.
Ward-Prowse revealed they were rubbing it in the team’s face with their celebrations down the tunnel and in the changing rooms.
And the mild-mannered midfielder says the Greeks have done David Moyes’ West Ham team talk for him.
“Yea (this is a grudge match),” Ward-Prowse said.

“It wasn’t a good performance from us, admittedly, I feel as though we left a lot out there, which is a frustrating feeling to have.
“But I think the way they reacted after they won the game, you could hear it down the corridor and we spoke about it saying it’s a good opportunity next to put that right and to show them something. So you could see a different West Ham then for sure. Yea (they acted like they’d won it).
“It will be an interesting one on Thursday against Olympiacos for sure…”
West Ham should take Olympiacos’ behaviour as a back-handed compliment.
It shows how big a scalp the Hammers are, even for these big, established European clubs.
Revenge by way of a win for West Ham will give Moyes’ side one foot in European knockout football for a third successive season.
