David Moyes has declared star Mohammed Kudus will make his highly anticipated first league start for West Ham against Sheffield United.

West Ham welcome Sheffield United to the London Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

And an extra layer of excitement has been added to the game for Hammers fans.

The £38m summer signing of Mohammed Kudus has created a buzz around West Ham.

But Moyes has been drip-feeding the Ghana sensation into West Ham’s games so far.

One minute at Luton was followed by cameos from the bench in defeats to Man City and Liverpool.

Kudus started in Europa League and Carabao Cup victories over TSC Backa Topola and Lincoln.

He scored twice in Europe before dazzling against the League One side and was described as the ‘best player on the pitch by some distance’ by 5 Live Extra commentators.

West Ham fans have been calling for Moyes to bring Kudus into the starting XI where it matters most – the Premier League.

Well there’s good news on that front ahead of the clash with the Blades it seems.

Because Moyes has declared star Kudus will make his highly anticipated first league start for West Ham against Sheffield United.

‘He’s ready’ says the Scot ahead of the game as he raved about what he has seen so far and suggested he will unleash Kudus when a fragile Sheffield United roll up to the London Stadium.

Moyes has also insisted Kudus can play in a host of positions, keeping fans and Sheffield United guessing over where he might line up in the West Ham side.

“Mo’s ready, I’ve got no doubt about that,” Moyes told The Evening Standard.

“I think he was ready when he came, he wasn’t needing games he wasn’t needing training, he’d done all that. He’s ready and when we see the right opportunities and moments we’ll use him.

“I see him playing several different positions but he’s probably another midfield player for us, another No10. We’ve got a lot of competition in that position at the moment and he can play off the sides. He’s played centre-forward as well.

“There’s little bits of all those we can use if we need to but probably where we see him most is around No10 or one of three midfield players.”
