Hammers boss David Moyes has delivered a West Ham injury update for the season finale at Brighton with one in and one out.
West Ham travel to Brighton for the final game of the season on Sunday with plenty still to play for.
A win against what has become something of a bogey team for West Ham, would see Moyes’s side finish sixth in the Premier League if Man United do not beat Crystal Palace away.
It would secure back-to-back sixth place finishes for the Hammers and qualification for the Europa League again.
West Ham have already secured their place in the Europa Conference League play-off in August.
But Moyes and his boys will be desperate to end the season on a high by securing that Europa League spot having thoroughly enjoyed and embraced their journey to the semi-finals of the competition this term.
West Ham have had a full week of rest ahead of the game at the Amex. And it seems the Scot will have a near fully fit squad.
David Moyes delivers West Ham injury update for season finale at Brighton with one in and one out
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Moyes delivered a West Ham injury update for the season finale at Brighton with one in and one out.
Moyes said Said Benrahma, who missed the Man City draw last weekend with an injury, will be fit.
But Issa Diop will miss the game.
“Said Benrahma should be fit for the game,” Moyes said in his pre match presser (whufc.com).
“Issa Diop’s ankle is not quite right yet, but we’d expect Benrahma to be available.”
West Ham will be hoping to get their job done against the Seagulls while Brighton’s big rivals Palace do the Hammers a favour by securing at least a draw at Selhurst Park.
All games kick off at the same time (4pm) on Sunday.
Should West Ham leapfrog Man United, they will enter the Europa League group stage directly.
If they end up seventh they will play a two-legged play-off in August for the right to make the Conference League group stage proper.
