Declan Rice has been pictured in England training, enjoying a joke with his team-mates.

The England star will be enjoying the respite after a dismal run of form with West Ham. England face Montenegro tonight and Rice will be eager to reclaim his starting spot in Gareth Southgate’s team.

England can qualify for Euro 2020 tonight and it should be a formality. Ahead of the game, there are high spirits in the camp despite reports a rift between Joe Gomez and Raheem Sterling.

Rice is pictured below, laughing away with Mason Mount, Tyrone Mings, James Maddison and Jadon Sancho. Meanwhile, Callum Wilson is literally rolling on the floor laughing.

Rice can return feelgood factor

West Ham fans will be hoping Rice returns from England duty with a fresh feelgood factor. The 20-year-old’s performances have dipped, alongside all of his team-mates, in the past few weeks.

This is partly down to the tactics on the pitch and the mentality at the club at the moment. Having a break can only benefit the Hammers, who have slid down to 16th place.

Rice will be hoping for some game time as England take on Montenegro and Kosovo over the break. Playing in a team with high spirits can hopefully get Rice enjoying his football again.
