Jesse Lingard is set to be named in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the Euros thanks to his successful spell at West Ham United.

West Ham took a chance on Lingard in January after he had been frozen out at Manchester United for two years.
And the midfield ace certainly repaid the faith David Moyes had shown in him with nine goals, four assists and several pre-assists in 16 games.

Mission accomplished for Lingard and West Ham?
One of Lingard’s main goals when joining West Ham was not only to re-establish himself as a Premier League regular but also to win back his England place.
The 28-year-old had been a key player under Southgate previously but found himself in the international wilderness following his exile at Old Trafford.
Well it looks set to be a case of mission accomplished for Lingard and West Ham as a host of reports claim he will make Southgate’s final cut today.

Rumours claim Lingard has made England Euro cut
According to a host of reports and social media accounts the seven players set to be left out of the England squad by Southgate are Aaron Ramsdale, Ben White, Ben Godfrey, Trent Alexander-Arnold, James Ward-Prowse, Bukayo Saka and Ollie Watkins.
Although The Guardian claims Lingard is close to making the cut, they report he is one of the last three left sweating on a place.
If accurate that means Lingard will be joining West Ham teammate Declan Rice in the final 26 for the forthcoming tournament – which gets underway in 10 days’ time.
Making the England squad for a major tournament may also help West Ham’s cause in landing Lingard permanently.
Moyes is desperate to sign Lingard this summer but the ball is very much in Man United’s court.

But the player himself will see that he can achieve his goals by being a first team regular at West Ham.
According to the likes of reliable insider ExWHUemployee, the player very much wants to stay at West Ham.
Whether the Hammers have the funds to meet Man United’s valuation remains to be seen.
Another concern for West Ham will be if Lingard shines at the Euros and further adds to his fee.
It is a risky game for Man United too, though. Lingard may not feature and with the midfielder turning 29 next season and out of contract next summer, they may regret not getting a deal agreed with West Ham at a reasonable price.
We will find out soon enough Southgate set to name his England squad at midday.
