Mark Noble has just signed a new 3 year deal with the Hammers and has said that the new signing helped him to make this decision. However he has also said he would like to get into the England squad in the near future. Now can this actually happen with the likes of Lampard and Gerrard still dominating the England team.
Well so far this season Mark has got of to a fantastic start, proving to be a key player. He has made the most tackles in the Premier League this season, 33 with Mohammed Diame 4th with only 24. The midfielder has start just over 200 games for West Ham and at only 25 has many more games left in him. What you can guarantee with Mark though is that he will work hard. He is always running around trying to win the ball back and evidence of this when he covered an almighty 6.93 miles during the Norwich game.
Noble could be the missing link in the England midfield as it is evident that the England squad is now ageing. With his excellent work rate he could be a younger Scott Parker. By this I mean that he is the sort of player who gets stuck in to every challenge and doesn’t give up without a fight. Gerrard and Lampard are getting on now, who are 32 and 34. Lampard doesn’t have long left in him possibly another 2 years at international level and Gerrard possibly 3 or 4. The England squad do need some youth in their squad now and Noble could be some of that youth.
So do I think Noble can make the England squad, of course I do. He is an all round player who could fit straight into the team. Even if he was called into the sqaud now he would learn an awful lot from the older generation of players. He has great determination and if he continues to play the way he does I don’t see why he couldn’t get into the England team.
