England face Kosovo in a Euro 2020 qualifying match tonight and Declan Rice is expected to start. Rice played in England’s 4-0 win over Bulgaria at Wembley on Saturday and should keep his spot for tonight’s game.

The Three Lions are in Southampton and will hope to maintain their perfect start to Euro qualifying. But in Kosovo, England face their toughest test yet. And one man will be hoping to cause some damage: Bersant Celina.

Celina will operate as a floating attacking midfielder and he is probably the most dangerous playmaking outlet. It will be Rice’s task to track Celina and try to limit his influence on the game.

As Kosovo will sit deep and let England have most of the possession, Celina will try to work his magic on the counter-attack. The former Manchester City midfielder is currently playing a starring role at Championship table-toppers Swansea City and he will aim to bring his domestic form into the internationals.

Celina has already scored twice for the Swans this season, taking his total tally to 10 goals and eight games since moving to Wales. The 22-year-old is still learning his trade and can only get better.

Rice, 20, will not be fazed by this challenge as he faces talented midfielders all the time. But he must maintain his concentration to limit his influence. Rice plays the unappreciated role in the team but while the public might not see it, Gareth Southgate definitely does.
