On Friday night, Arnautovic was the main man for Austria. And the 29-year-old stood out in this tough contest.

On 71 minutes, with the scores level at 0-0, Arnautovic broke the deadlock.

He beat the offside trap, raced through on goal and slotted past Leeds United’s Bailey Peacock-Farrell.

And it proved to be the only goal of the game. Therefore, Austria claimed all three points thanks to Arnie’s goal.

Arnautovic scored his 20th goal for Austrian and consequently, it proved to be a vital one. As a result of his strike, the Austrians climbed above Northern Ireland.

And they are now off the mark in the UEFA Nations League. But they still trail Bosnia, who are top of this division.

The celebration

After scoring the goal, Arnautovic provided an unforgettable celebration. And it was trademark Arnie.

Firstly, the Austrian forward headed straight to Leicester City defender Jonny Evans to laugh in his face.

And then he turned towards the press box to direct his next message.

Arnautovic took off his captain’s armband and waved it at his critics to make his point.

And here are some tweets showing what West Ham fans made of Arnautovic’s lurid antics.
