The 31-year-old is not definitely going to feature. But he has a chance.

Moyes told Football.London:

“He (Antonio) is working with the physios on the grass I would not rule him out yet but not in either. But he has a chance.”

And some West Ham fans have taken to Twitter in reaction to the comments from David Moyes on Michail Antonio…

Whilst having Michy back for Burnley would be a big boost, we think that rushing him back given his checkered injury history would be a mistake.

Antonio needs to come back when he is ready.

It would be much better for us to have Antonio firing on all cylinders for three or four games rather than have him protecting his hamstrings for five matches.

The 31-year-old is so vitally important to West Ham. His pace and power provides us with something that we do not otherwise possess.

The Hammers need to be careful with Michy, however. Let’s be patient.

If he is fully fit, then of course, Moyes should throw him in against Burnley.

If he isn’t quite 100 per cent, however, the West Ham boss should bide his time with the former Nottingham Forest ace.
