West Ham were without winger Michail Antonio in Monday night’s loss against Chelsea. But he has been pictured in full training ahead of this weekend’s trip to Manchester United.

The Hammers travel to Old Trafford for Saturday’s late kick-off and Antonio appears to be fit and available for selection.

A minor injury ruled the 29-year-old out of the game at Stamford Bridge last Monday, which ended in a 2-0 defeat for Manuel Pellegrini’s men.

But pictures show him and Issa Diop locked in a physical battle on the training ground. And this image suggests that Antonio is back to full fitness.

It’s not exactly clear what Antonio and Diop are doing with each other. Both players are renowned for their power and have obviously been paired up on size.

Whatever this drill is, though, it shows that Antonio is not shying away from physicality in training.

Despite his recent injury concern, the powerful winger is willing to go chest-to-chest with Diop on the training ground.

Antonio’s return to the first-team squad will be a major boost for the Hammers, who are limping through their fixtures at the minute.

The former Nottingham Forest player offers a different dimension with pace, strength and stamina, although the end product is often questioned.

Antonio’s return could allow Manuel Lanzini to move into a more familiar central midfield position, while Marko Arnautovic can go back to being a centre-forward.
