West Ham United have maintained radio silence on the return of star defender Angelo Ogbonna.

The Italian defender had been one of West Ham’s players of the season.
And some season it has been too with David Moyes’s side enjoying their best campaign for 35 years.

West Ham fans feared season derailment after Ogbonna injury but concerns have been allayed
West Ham fans feared it would all be derailed when Ogbonna went off with an ankle injury in the FA Cup defeat to Manchester United on February 2nd.
Thankfully that has not been the case with Craig Dawson continuing his fine form and Issa Diop filling the void admirably thus far.
At the time of the injury West Ham boss David Moyes said he could not put a timescale on Ogbonna’s return.
“It is a big blow for us, he has been magnificent for us,” Moyes told the press (Evening Standard).
“I have no time frame for him to come back and I don’t know if I’d want to put one on him. I don’t think it needs surgery at the moment, but he will see a specialist and hopefully I’ll know more in the next few days.”

Hammers maintain radio silence with no Ogbonna update for nearly a month and still no timescale
The club’s official website provided an update around 10 days after Ogbonna’s injury – sustained when Anthony Martial clumsily followed through on the defender after a shot.
“The centre-back has undergone a scan and orthopaedic assessment, with him due to spend a period of time in a protective boot to prevent further damage,” the update stated on whufc.com.
“An accurate timescale for Ogbonna’s injury will become clearer as he continues to be assessed as part of his rehabilitation.”
Reliable West Ham insider ExWHUemployee told West Ham fans Ogbonna would be out for at least a month.
That turned out to be accurate.
But a month has passed and West Ham are yet to offer another update on Ogbonna.

Worried fans speculate Ogbonna injury could be worse than first feared
That has now prompted supporters to speculate online that their star centre-back’s injury is worse than first feared.
As a result many Hammers fans believe Ogbonna is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines. And just when West Ham need him most as they gun for a European spot.
West Ham fans were hoping Ogbonna may be fit to return for the run-in after the international breaks.
But with no word on even a possible return to training, that looks a long shot.
Moyes will have to hope Diop and Dawson can stay fit and in form.
The Hammers are in the thick of what now looks a seven-way battle for the three attainable Champions League spots.
