West Ham’s silence over the Diop and Zouma injuries has been deafening since an brief initial update confirming a one match absence for the latter.

As yet there has been no official communication from the club on Diop’s reported injury.

West Ham fans know only too well that manager Moyes likes to play his cards close to his chest when it comes to team news, injuries and transfers.

But the Hammers have taken that to new extremes this season with fans left relying on reliable club insiders for key information on injuries.

The Irons have their huge Europa League semi-final against Eintracht Frankfurt looming large over the next two weeks.

And West Ham are also desperate to secure a European spot in the Premier League too.

Now West Ham boss Moyes is set to give big Diop and Zouma answers today as fans await injury situation clarity for the run in.

Moyes should hold his press conference at Rush Green on Friday ahead of the game at Chelsea on Sunday.

The Hammers boss will face questions about the Blues and West Ham’s impending Europa semi-final.

But above all else the focus will be on West Ham’s potential defensive crisis as journalists seek official confirmation of Diop’s injury and whether Zouma has any chance of making it back before the end of the season.

It will be interesting to see how much information Moyes gives out on the Diop and Zouma injuries.

But the Scot will surely have to give some indication over the type of injuries and length of time they are expected to be out.
