West Ham’s injury curse has struck again with Andriy Yarmolenko set for a lengthy spell out.
Various reports suggest that the Ukrainian winger will be out for six months after rupturing his Achilles tendon against Tottenham Hotspur.
Yarmolenko had to be stretchered off during West Ham’s 1-0 loss to Spurs.
And he joins a growing list of absentees at West Ham.
Winston Reid, Manuel Lanzini, Jack Wilshere and Carlos Sanchez are on the long-term injury list.
Meanwhile, Andy Carroll has not played this season with an ankle injury and Pedro Obiang missed Saturday’s game through injury.
West Ham seem to have little luck with injuries and this seems to be a recurrent theme every season.
With a hectic schedule lined up over the next couple of months, it is not an ideal time to lose Yarmolenko.
And here is how the West Ham fan base reacted to these reports on social media.

You only have to see the way he went down, without any contact, to know it was a tear or rupture, and a season ending injury. Why always us? 😩
